Senior Management

Kirk Jensen - President
Kirk Jensen joined EZE Trucking as President in January 2000.  Through his leadership EZE has grown from a local carrier to a regional player with a presence in the national and international marketplace.  Kirk is considered an industry leader in over-dimensional flatbed trucking, heavy haul transportation services, and project logistics management for the heavy construction industry.  Kirk has extensive experience in the following industries:  bridge and highway construction, water transmission, oil and gas, and wind energy.  He also has extensive experience working with clients who require moves in and out of the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.  Kirk has worked in the specialized trucking arena for over 10 years.  Prior to EZE, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer at ­­­–Truemetal Corp. Kirk started his career in the wholesale building supply industry and has earned certificates and degrees in Business, Engineering, and Executive Management from the following institutions: Fullerton Junior College, University of Southern California, George Washington University, and the Claremont Graduate University.

 

Scott Wingate – CFO

Scott joined the EZE Team the day after acquisition by Atlantic Street Capital.  He has broad experience in the freight/logistics industry over the last decade, since he began working extensively with private equity portfolio companies.  The largest of these freight client companies was APX Logistics which peaked at over $800MM in revenues--he served there as VP of Finance and oversaw a number of critical acquisitions and divestitures.  The majority of Scott’s earlier career work involved privately held, emerging growth manufacturing and distribution companies.  Scott holds a BS degree from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from the University of Southern California.  Scott also serves on various volunteer boards and is currently the Chairman of the Alumni Association for the Marshall School of Business at USC.

 

Katie Navarro – Vice President Operations

Katie joined EZE Trucking as their Vice President/Controller in December 1999.  Today in addition to her controller functions, Katie is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functional operations of all locations and divisions. With over 30 years experience in the financial, construction, and transportation industries, Katie has developed a very diverse management and financial background. She strongly believes that EZE’s most valuable assets are their people including both associates and customers. Prior to EZE Trucking, Katie was a Commercial Loan Officer with Bank of America and a Controller for Cougar Enterprises, Inc.

 

Bob York – Vice President Logistics
Bob York joined EZE Trucking in May 2005 as VP of Logistics.  In that role, he manages EZE’s brokerage business unit.  In addition, Bob is active selling projects using EZE’s assets in California and Arizona and brokering national loads.  He is extremely customer service oriented and known as a problem solver when confronted with complex and dynamic shipper requirements.  His areas of industry expertise include: building supplies, construction equipment, machinery moving and plant moves.  Bob has expertise in a broad range of transportation services including flatbed, heavy haul, and over-dimensional.  He is also experienced coordinating projects between the US, Mexico and Canada.  Among his more storied moves, Bob coordinated all of the transportation and logistics for the move of President Reagan’s Air Force One (SAM 27000) from Norton AFB in San Bernardino, CA to the site of the Air Force One Pavilion at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley ,CA.  Bob has worked in the trucking business for 37 years and in the specialized side since 1992.   

 

Regional Heavy Haul and National Key Account Sales

Nate Comer – Southwest Region Key Account Sales
Nate Comer joined EZE Trucking in July 2009 to manage key account sales for its Arizona Operation.  His responsiveness, commitment and consultative approach to solution-based customer service are among the best in the industry. Nate’s experience in specialized flatbed and heavy haul transportation services consists of many roles including Marketing Director and Operations Director.   Industry focus areas include: heavy building materials, engineered concrete and steel beams and pipe, heavy machinery and construction supplies, large cranes, mining equipment and circuits, fabricated steel structures and aggregate processing equipment.  In addition, Nate has experience managing international loads, including Mexico.  Nate has worked in the specialized trucking space for over 6 years.  Prior to EZE he served as Corporate Secretary and Company Officer for Atlas Forklift Rentals, a Phoenix based trucking company. He also participates actively in the Arizona Trucking Association’s Specialized Carriers & Rigging Conference and serves as an appointee on the Over-Dimensional Permit Council for the State of Arizona Governor’s office.  Nate began his career in the financial services industry and earned a Bachelors Degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in 1997.

 

Ryan Jensen- West Region Key Account Sales
Ryan started his career with EZE in 2005 as a dispatcher.  With a natural rapport with customers and his quick understanding and execution for solving logistical problems, he was quickly promoted to sales account executive and responsible for the many of EZE’s top producing customers.  Ryan’s areas of expertise include local, national and international transportation of water, oil and gas transmission, precast concrete products, general construction, military, harbor and port operations, crane/heavy equipment and wind energy.   Ryan has over five years of experience in the heavy haul trucking industry.  He grew up in Orange County, CA and earned a B.S. from the California State University, Fullerton and is currently working on his MBA at University of LaVerne.

 

Andrea Pendleton – West Region Key Account Sales
Andrea joined EZE Trucking in August of 2007 as a sales representative in our Southern California office. Prior to joining our company, Andrea was the general manager of a small logistics company in Los Angeles.   Today as a key account sales executive for EZE, she has developed experience in a range of industries including utilities, general engineering/ general contracting, solar energy, military, plant moves, machinery and brokerage.  Andrea’s attention to detail, organization skills, and diligent account management make her an enormous resource to her customers and to EZE.    She has over seven years experience in specialized freight hauling.

 

National Inter-State Heavy Haul Sales

Rich French – National Key Account Sales
Rich joined EZE Trucking in May 2005 and has been a major contributor to EZE’s expansion from a regional to a national specialized carrier.  He started his career with Caterpillar in 1989 and worked in sales with Caterpillar until 2003, during which time he gained vast knowledge about how to haul yellow iron.  Today, Rich is a leader in the heavy and over-dimensional hauling industry.  He works with all the major forklift manufacturers in the US and has hauled everything from small lift trucks to large top-picks and reach-stackers.  One of his notable projects was positioning very large Cat generators on top of all the major banks and federal institutions in the New York City area during the period when companies were responding to Y2K concerns.  He’s extremely customer orientated, takes pride in his job, and feels confident he can handle any hauling requirement.


Steve Fowler – National Key Account Sales
Steve joined EZE Trucking as a heavy haul transportation specialist in May 2005.  He has an exceptional background in coordinating, quoting moves in industries such as mining, aerospace, military, yellow iron, and general commodities.  Steve has over 15 years experience in the trucking and construction industries and is particularly knowledgeable about breaking down large construction equipment such as cranes. Prior to working at EZE he joined the Navy In 1989 where he was a jet engine mechanic for S-3B Anti-Submarine planes.  He was honorably discharged in 1993 and then attended junior college in Northern California, receiving a degree in computer science.  After college he received a job at a local trucking company where he worked for 10 years.   He prides himself on taking care of his customers and continuing to keep himself up-to-date on all aspects of the heavy hauling transportation industry. 


Dan Bertak – National Key Account Sales

Dan joined EZE Trucking’s Medford office in January 2008.   Previous to EZE, Dan was General Counsel and Director of Transportation for Timber Products Co. in Springfield, OR.  At Timber Products, he managed the Transportation Department and over saw the shipment of all products for the company, both domestically and abroad.  During his 18 plus years in the transportation industry, Dan has developed a broad range of experiences including flat beds, vans, double drops, RGN's, and rail.   His areas of expertise include prefab concrete slabs and pipe, building products, windmill towers, and plant moves. Dan is a very customer service driven individual and has maintained his customer base by providing exceptional service.  Dan started his career as General Manager of Oregon McKenzie Lumber before joining Timber Products after finishing law school.  Dan has a B.S. Degree from Southern Oregon University in Accounting/Business Administration and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from University of Oregon, School of Law.  

 

Dustin Butler – National Key Account Sales
Dustin joined EZE Trucking in April 2006 as a broker in our Medford, Oregon Logistics division.  Dustin is very hands-on, and is committed to getting his freight projects to the consignee safely and on time.   Dustin developed his heavy haul expertise at EZE, where he started out as a dispatcher and is now committed to sales.  He has a broad understanding of heavy and over-dimensional freight requirements from trailer equipment and permits to axle groupings.  His areas of expertise include: all yellow iron, heavy construction equipment, machinery and refinery moves, and aerospace.  Dustin graduated from Chemeketa College in 2006 with a degree in Fire Science.
